Setting up a blog before I have even submitted my official application is possibly getting ahead of myself, but if The Secret is anything to go by a little positive thinking never hurt anyone.

You’d think they’d make it easier and not leave official letters of acceptance till September, this giving those uprooting their life for a year just a bit of notice. There are so many things to take into account – mortagages, car registration,  health insurance – all the things your life encompasses and you wouldn’t want popping up while you’re away. There are French courses to take,  savings goals to meet and an EU passports to organise – all of which take time and preparation.

In the event that all this falls through I will at least have a resonable sum of money and free reign of Europe thanks to a bit of handy ancestry and I’m sure I’ll come up with an alternative plan.

So yes. I am going to France. For a year. And I only have 8 months to get myself ready.
